When can I expect to see lifting results?
You may feel changes immediately after the procedure. Visible improvements typically appear after 1 to 3 months, with optimal results seen at 3 to 6 months.
How is Ultherapy and Thermage different?
They differ in depth and mechanism. Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy at a depth of 4.5mm to stimulate the SMAS layer, while Thermage uses 3.0mm radiofrequency energy to uniformly heat the dermis. Combining both devices can enhance overall results tailored to each patient’s concerns.
Can I return to daily activities right after the lifting treatment?
There may be slight immediate swelling, but you can return to most daily activities right away. As collagen regeneration progresses, improvements typically appear after 1 to 3 months, with the best results at 3 to 6 months.
Are there any side effects from the treatment?
Devices may differ slightly. You may experience temporary warmth or tingling during the procedure. Since Ultherapy uses a cooling system, side effects are generally milder compared to older HIFU devices.
How long do the lifting results last?
It varies by device. HIFU (Ultherapy, Coolsonic) typically lasts 12 to 18 months, while RF (Thermage) lasts about 6 to 12 months. Results also vary depending on individual skin condition and lifestyle.
Is there an age limit for the treatment?
There is no strict age limit. It can be effective from the early signs of aging, such as loss of elasticity and initial wrinkles, and can also be used for prevention.
Can I receive collagen-stimulating injections with this treatment?
Yes, it can be done. The treatment provides immediate lifting, while collagen-stimulating injections help build new collagen. Combining both can lead to longer-lasting results.
